History Who We Are

Mr. Ashwani Malhotra the MD at Hotel Saffron and Rasoi (Multi cuisine fine dine restaurant) and Mrs Vineeta Malhotra the cooking Mentor at Rasoi -The School of Culinary Arts. Both better known as Mrs. & Mr. Malhotra.

We started our culinary journey in 1998 with Rasoi -The cooking centre from home . Cooking classes especially for girls. Soon it developed to be RASOI-School of culinary arts.

In the Year 2018 we completed  our 20 years of culinary journey for which I thank almighty and people of our city Bathinda.

Being the  food lovers we tried different cuisines at home which over the period made us a better host for our guests when we partied at home. Those were the days when socializing at home were quite popular.

Eventually in 2008 , we got an opportunity to be official caterer of Civil lines club Bathinda which is a prestigious club of our city and one of the popular clubs in Punjab. 

With passion for cooking and little knowledge & experience in field of Catering , we started our catering journey with zero experience. With initial months full of good and bad experiences , we carried  on with .the support of our dedicated team of cooks and servers and not to miss the feedback from our friends and customers.  We got recognised in this new field and we served the club till 2015 .BY THE GRACE OFGOD,something new was  coming our way….

 

RASOI … Our first Fine Dine Restaurant, was a brain child of our elder son Anshaj Malhotra, a graduate from IIHM Delhi. Now with a professional in the family and his experience of working with prestigious hotels in Delhi,Kochi and Mumbai, it was a boon to us. With his new ideas and experience it gave us confidence to start our new venture.  

Mr. Ashwani Malhotra being an MBA , was the best as an MD,  and a great Support ,Motivator and perfect team leader. I was a cooking teacher ,so it worked a perfect combination and things worked in favour for us.

At RASOI we tried to create a destination for food lovers that offered a holistic dining experience to the diners. Our city ,not being a big one, so we tried to create a fine dine ambience, which was both full of taste and affordable too.. The response within three years has been re affirming.

HOTEL SAFFRON

Hotel Saffron came up in year 2017.Again with the  support and expertise of our son Anshaj Malhotra, we started our new journey in the hotel industry, where we learnt regarding the  Room Bookings , housekeeping and  Room service.

ALFAAZ  At the Fine Dine Restaurant in the Hotel Saffron, we introduced Awadhi Cuisine  to the people of the city.
